Assessing the Moisture Load in a Vinyl-Clad Wall Assembly through Watertightness Tests
نویسندگان
چکیده
The moisture load in wall assemblies is typically considered as 1% of the Wind Driving Rain (WDR) that deposited on surface specified ASHRAE-160 standard whereas this ratio has been shown to be inaccurate compared results derived from several watertightness tests. Accurate assessment loads arising WDR can obtained through test during which different levels intensities and Pressures (DRWPs) are applied a specimen water penetrates assembly thus quantified. Although many previous studies have included tests, only few these attempted correlate conditions may occur specific locations within country. To improve for vinyl-clad assembly, was tested following protocol based local climate data using National Research Council Canada’s Dynamic Wall Testing Facility (DWTF). use permitted quantifying vinyl when subjected simulated conditions. formulated function intensity DRWP thereafter allowed evaluating given climate’s hourly rainfall wind velocity. Such work particularly relevant considering intensity, duration frequency events across Canada will some regions increase due effects change.

15 صفحه اولThe elastoplastic response of and moisture diffusion through a vinyl ester resin–clay nanocomposite
Experimental data are reported on the elastoplastic response of and moisture diffusion through a vinyl ester resin–montmorillonite clay nanocomposite with various amounts of filler. Two simple models are developed for the elastoplastic behavior of a nanocomposite and for the anomalous diffusion of penetrant molecules. Adjustable parameters in the constitutive equations are found by fitting the ...
متن کاملAssessing Learners Behavior by Monitoring Online Tests through Data Visualization
This paper presents an approach and a system to let tutors monitor several important aspects related to online tests, such as learner behavior and test quality. The approach includes the logging of important data related to learner interaction with the system during the execution of online tests and exploits data visualization to highlight information useful to let tutors review and improve the...
